About Me
Hello! My name is Morgan Powell and I am thrilled that you have taken some time to browse my digital resume and portfolio! In this section I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born in Charlotte, N.C., but moved to Alpharetta, Ga., soon there after. I grew up with supportive parents and a great younger sister outside of Atlanta. Growing up in Atlanta, I was able to watch and attend various professional and collegiate athletic events. Some of my earliest and favorite memories come from sporting events, so sports were part of the reason I decided to major in public relations.
I decided to attend Auburn University because of the family atmosphere, the outstanding academics and the top-notch athletic programs. Throughout my time here I have been a dedicated student assistant in the media relations office for Auburn Athletics which has helped to cultivate my love for athletics and has given me the opportunity to experience, first hand, how public relations professionals manage issues of image, public perception and promotion of an organization.
In December I will graduate with a degree in public relations. All of my experiences at Auburn University have given me a clear path to take following graduation and I can say with no hesitation that I want to pusure a career in professional or collegiate athletics.
